If you’ve missed your flavored milk fix at the Wisconsin State Fair, you’re in luck. The Milk House is coming back for 2022 thanks to the generosity of both the Milwaukee Bucks and Gruber Law Offices.
For the first time, the Milk House will be operated by the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, which means that every dollar made at the stand will be reinvested into improvements and programming at the Fair.
In 2022, guests will be able to order up 8 ounce cups of four different flavors of milk during the 11 day State Fair. Each cup will be sold for $1 with milk sourced from Prairie Farms Dairy.
A 30 year tradition continued
Founded as The Herb Superb Milk House by Senator Herb Kohl, the Milk House has been a State Fair tradition for over 30 years.
Originally a red barn on the northern end of the park, the Milk House has seen a variety of changes over the years. In 2013, the Milwaukee Bucks took over the Milk House, moving it to the south end and painting it the team’s signature green color.
Earlier this year, the Milwaukee Bucks generously donated the Milk House to the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation. And, thanks to help from Gruber Law Offices, the foundation has begun transforming the Milk House, painting it a “chocolatey” brown color with pink accents to reflect the venue’s fun milk flavors.
“The Milk House celebrates our history as a dairy state and for many Fairgoers, it is a must-do for every visit,” said Anna Zeck, Foundation executive director. “We hope the milk will be that much sweeter for visitors with the knowledge that every sip helps the Wisconsin State Fair continue to grow.”

The Foundation is looking for a large crew of fun, energetic volunteers to bring joy to State Fair attendees.
Do you run a school group, athletic club, church group or community organization that can bring a group of six or more people (16 years or older) to volunteer for a six-hour shift? If so, all volunteers will receive free admission, T-shirts, parking and a $300 stipend for their organization. A number of paid positions are also available.
