The Wisconsin State Fair added yet another Main Stage headliner to its 2024 slate today – and yet another night of divine musical intervention, as in addition to already-announced Christian pop star Lauren Daigle, the summer spectacular's lineup will feature faith-based rock band Casting Crowns, returning to the Main Stage on Monday, Aug. 5.

The Grammy-winning band behind hits like "Who Am I" and "Nobody" last played the State Fair Main Stage in 2021. They'll be joined at this latest show by opening act Tauren Wells.

Tickets for the Casting Crowns concert will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website. All seating will be reserved, with admission ranging in price from $35, $40 and $45. For more information on tickets and the show, visit the State Fair's website

And, with today's announcement, here's the Main Stage lineup as it currently stands:

Six months out, and we've officially reached more booked Main Stage dates than TBD ones – but obviously there's still more to go, so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more announcements and updates. And for more live music around the city, check out our monthly concert guide

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
