If and when the MLB figures its nonsense out, Milwaukee baseball fans will have a lot to be excited about for the upcoming season – not only on the field but off of it as well judging by the team's newly announced schedule of promotions and giveaways for 2022, from theme nights to community nights and more.
American Family Field will host ten theme nights throughout the season, including return of familiar favorites – such as Star Wars Night, fittingly on May 4, and the fur-friendly Bark at the Park on June 7. The lineup features some new special theme evenings as well, like Halfway to Christmas on June 25 and Greek Night on April 2, surely at least in part to honor of a certain NBA champion and new team stakeholder.
Here's the full schedule:
- Saturday, April 2 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – Greek Night
- Wednesday, May 4 vs. Cincinnati Red – Star Wars Night
- Tuesday, May 17 vs. Atlanta Braves – Healthcare Appreciation Night
- Friday, June 3 vs. San Diego Padres – Aloha Friday
- Tuesday, June 7 vs. Philadelphia Phillies – Bark at the Park
- Saturday, June 25 vs. Toronto Blue Jays – Halfway to Christmas
- Saturday, July 9 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – Sesame Street Day
- Saturday, July 23 vs. Colorado Rockies – Pajama Party
- Saturday, Sept. 10 vs. Cincinnati Reds – Batman Night
- Thursday, Sept. 29 vs. Miami Marlins – Oktoberfest
The Brewers' upcoming schedule also features four community nights, including the brand 414 Day on Thursday, April 14, versus the Cardinals; Pride Night on Wednesday, June 8, against the Phillies; the traditional Negro Leagues Tribute game on Friday, July 22, against the Rockies; and Cerveceros Night on Saturday, Sept. 17, against the New York Yankees.
Most of these theme and community nights feature special giveaways, which come with the purchase of the ticket package for that respective night. For more information on the giveaway items – including a Brewers-themed Milwaukee flag, Brewers pajama pants, a German-style mug and more – and how to purchase a ticket package, visit the team's website.
The season also includes a number of ticket discount days, such as Miller High Life Mondays, 5-County Fridays (50 percent off for residents of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha counties), Kids & Seniors Days and student discount nights for high school and college students. For the full list of discount days, visit the full promotion schedule at the Brewers website.
And get pumped because the season – hopefully, maybe, potentially – is right around the corner, with Opening Day on March 31. (*fingers crossed*) Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Brew Crew updates.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
